and we will claim for any stores etc, missing on re-delivery.

BIUILING:- The value of the Deck and Engine Room equipment,

spare gear etc. on board at time of seizure is estimated at

H.K.$17,000.00 and we will claim for any equipment that may

be missing on re-delivery.

GENERAL:- We reserve our right to olais compensation for

loss of business, and any claims arising against us as

owners for breach of contracts, loss of cargo, or of any

nature whatsoever arising out of the seizure of the ship.

DAMAGE:- We will clain compensation for any damage to the

Hull, Engines, Boilers or gear on board that may arise during

the period of detention, furthermore should the ship's

bottom become foul due to her being held for a sufficient

period to cause fouling and necessitate Docking, the cost

of docking will be claimed.

VALUE: - We value the ship at £30,000.- Since our purchase

in December 1935 we have classed the vessel in British

Corporation and have also taken out a Passenger Licence

complying with the latest Simla Rules, this alone costing

$120,00.-

We trust the above statement will make it clear to the parties

responsible for the seizure of vessel that our claim will be consider-

able and is increasing daily.

An early return of the vessel will therefore minimise our

final claim.
